After breakfast, our first stop will be the incredible Kargah Buddha carving that is dated from 7th Century AD. We continue driving to Chalt Nagar which is the main Karakoram Thrust; the collision point of Indo-Pakistan and Eurasian Plates. The result of the collision is the formation of the Himalayan mountain range and Tibetan plateau. We will make a tea stop at Rakaposhi peak viewpoint (7,788m). Our journey continues to Attabad Lake which was formed in 2010 as a result of a major landslide for a boat ride and photography. Our penultimate stop for the day is at the Gulmit village where we will visit a well-preserved old house and a handicraft centre run by local women. This evening, your dinner will be hosted by a local Hunza family in their home.
Hotel: Borith Lake Hotel and Resort

This morning, we will hike towards the Passu white glacier viewpoint where you can take amazing pictures. We will then take a short drive to visit Hussaini Village where you will have the chance to gingerly walk on the precarious rope bridge that straddles the fast-flowing waters of Hunza River. If you prefer a faster crossing, an optional zipline awaits you. Lunch today is an uncommon treat at Passu Village – the healthy yak meat which contains much less fat compared to traditional red meats and even salmon! After that delicious lunch, we will drive towards Karimabad. On the way, we will make a side trip to Hoper Valley which is another lush, fertile valley. The glacier found here in Hoper Valley is one of the world’s fastest moving glaciers. This evening, we will check in to a hotel that is perched high up to give you stunning views of the Duiker Valley.
Hotel: Eagle’s Nest Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today, we spend our day visiting two incredible ancient forts – Altit Fort and Baltit Fort.
Altit Fort is a spectacularly sited defensive work overlooking the Hunza River valley that was built almost a thousand years ago. The rectangular fort commands a view of the Hunza Valley and its tributaries, offering a strategic position for controlling the trans-Karakoram trade route between South and Central Asia.
The rulers (Mirs) of Hunza knew that although Altit Fort commanded an impressive view and was difficult for invaders to attack, it was not impossible. Hence, the subsequent move to create a fortress against the side of the glacier for the best vantage point and better defence strategies. Thus, Altit Fort was eventually abandoned in favour of the more than 700 years old Baltit Fort. Baltit Fort is a three-storey building constructed from wood and stone with mud plaster. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list since 2004.
After feasting on traditional Hunza food for lunch, immerse yourself in the local lively scene around Karimabad Bazaar.

General Questestion About Trip to Hunza Valley
Every season features unique attractions. Personally, it depends very much on what each traveller is looking for. E.g. Autumn colours are incredible and on top of it, the fruit harvest is bountiful, while Spring heralds the beginning of new life and with it beautiful blossoms are everywhere!
Hunza Valley has a temperate climate; warm summers and cold winters. It experiences all four seasons i.e. Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Because it is surrounded by mountain ranges and it’s on higher elevation, nights are pretty cool.
